On 21 June, she posted a complaint on the Chief Minister’s portal, accusing Yash Dayal of sexual harassment. However, when no action was taken, the victim resorted to the social media platforms. As the cricketer failed to record his statements even after police notices, the police filed a case against him under Section 69 of BNS late on July 7.

The victim has also revealed to the police that she has known Dayal since November 2020. They came into contact with each other through social media and had a first meeting in Prayagraj. They have been friends for the last five years.

The victim said she had even stayed at the cricketer’s residence several times. He and his family kept assuring her of marriage.

Yash Dayal was part of the Gujarat Titans team in 2022 and later the team went on to become the champions.

“I was also present during the final match with his family. Everything was moving properly, but in the last two and a half years, Yash Dayal formed relations with several other girls,” she alleged in her complaint

Earlier in 2021, Yash Dayal compalined against the victim, a native of Pratapgarh, and others at the Khuldabad police station in Prayagraj of threating to committ suicide after she refused to return his Rs 8 lakh taken as loan.

In his complaint, Yash had alleged that from time to time, she kept taking money in the name of treatment, college fees, with a promise to return the money by May 2025. Besides, she took money for shopping.

But he came to know that the same woman had given an application against him in Ghaziabad through social media. He also alleged that the entire incident was planned to implicate them in a planned manner and to harm them financially.
